I’ve been doing Scrum since 2007 and I’ve never been to Scrum.org HQ before.
So on May 21, 2018, it finally happened. My PSD TTT got approved and I was able to attend this special training for PST candidates. I remembered that there were a couple of places where I could enroll but I had my heart set on Boston.
The PSD has a special place in my heart. The reason is that of my techie background. I started my professional career as a Java Developer and although I’ve decided to focus on Scrum, I do still catch myself exploring the software engineering realm, especially middle in the night when everyone is asleep.
The 3 days PSD was amazing! Really love Richard Hundhausen’s teaching style, his passion and positivity that he brings over to the students. After taking this course, I do feel that there’s a big misconception about this course. People tend to think that the PSD is all about coding, which is not! It’s about the life of a Developer in a Development Team. It’s not only about experiencing first hand how it is to work in a Sprint, but you’ll also learn more about the relation of a Developer towards other Developers, Scrum Master and Product Owner.
I also got the chance to meet Daphne Harris, director of the PST program, someone who I have been communicating a lot during my PST journey. It’s great to finally see the person behind the voice.
Last but definitely not least, got the chance to meet some PSTs and of course future PSTs!
Will definitely be back!
